Lessons

Whether you’re a beginner starting out or a rider that has done a lot riding, Turn Crest Stable invites you to come ride with us. We offer a variety of programs:

Group Lessons

The lessons are offered at various times throughout the week. They are one hour in length; riders are asked to come early to learn how to tack up the horse they will be riding. All new riders begin in group lessons. Groups range from 4-6 riders and are booked in one hour time slots. Short-term lesson programs are available (2 months or less) for $60 per lesson which is paid monthly. Long-term lesson programs are also available (3 months or more) for $50 per lesson which is paid monthly.

Private Lessons

Private lessons are offered for the serious rider at set times throughout the week. They consist of 45 minutes of on-horse time. These are available to only riders who have shown exceptional skill and dedication, as well as members of our academy team. Contact us for the latest pricing updates.

Little Rider Lessons

Little Rider lessons are offered for children 5 -7 years old who are in the beginning stages of riding. These lessons are only offered in April and May and after that riders must be able to do 1-hour weekly lessons. Lessons are 30 minutes in length and cost is $30 per lesson which is paid monthly. Contact us for the latest pricing updates.

All riders must wear long pants, shoe or boot with a 1 inch heal, fitted shirt or coat. They are also asked to come 15 mins before lessons to learn how to groom and tack up the horses they are going to ride for the lessons. Riders are group by levels and as the rider moves up they are moved to a lesson at the next level.

Jumping Lessons

Turn Crest Stable also offers jumping lessons on school horses. To take jumping lessons riders must be comfortable cantering and must also take a flat lesson a week, have the correct riding wear and have their own helmet. TCS school horses only jump to 2 feet, any jumping beyond that height you must have your own horse.
