I rode as a young teenager, but I had not been around horses much for the past 35 years. As my 50th birthday was approaching, I decided to treat myself to riding lessons. Buying my own horse was not part of the original plan, however sometimes plans change! After six months of lessons, I bought Remington (Remy), a four year old red dun quarter horse who had only had some limited Western training, mostly trail riding. He is enjoying his new home, and his dressage saddle!

In my other life, I am a nurse at the Mayo Clinic, I am married to Al who likes to pet Remy, but he has no plans to ride. I have two grown children, Adam and Kelly, and a son-in-law, Lou.
